Sayyed Engineers made a major contribution to the Punjab government's Punjab Rural Support Program (PRSP).

Dr. Akmal Hussain, the Managing Director, served as the Vice Chairman and Honorary Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, he helped to establish about 1,100 community organizations in rural Punjab, and developed management teams, in eight divisions of the province during 1998. Sayyed Engineers made available its management resources for this program and its Managing Director and executives traveled far and wide to ensure the program's successful implementation.

UNESCO/Government of Pakistan's Restoration Project for the Lahore Fort

Volunteers from Sayyed Engineers (Private) Limited, together with the Managing Director, Dr. Akmal Hussain and his family participated in the citizens initiative which was organized by Karvaan as part of the UNESCO/Government of Pakistan's Restoration Project for the Lahore Fort. The volunteers cleaned the walls of the Lahore Fort and also took part in various other activities in restoring the Fort.
